About WebWoman

WebWoman is Tina Spain McDuffie, author, educator, speaker, and professional Web developer. Ms. McDuffie is a Web pioneer. She began working on the Web in early 1995 and, by 1996, introduced and taught her first of many classes in Web development. Her current class offerings include: Dreamweaver MX, Photoshop Level 1, Photoshop Level 2, Illustrator Level 1, Illustrator Level 2, Flash MX, Digital Photography, and Acrobat.

Ms. McDuffie holds an M.S. with honors in Electronic Commerce, a B.S. with honors in Business Information Systems, and an A.S. with honors in Mathematics. She is the author of JavaScript Concepts & Techniques: Programming Interactive Web Sites, a JavaScript textbook, and WebWoman's JavaScript Object Reference, a companion handbook. WebWoman is a regularly featured guest speaker at Web development group meetings in the San Diego area and has conducted seminars at the California Computer Conference.

This Web site, www.webwomansbooks.com, was developed to compliment WebWoman’s books and booklets and to provide additional resources and updates to Web development students and instructors alike.

Through her experience as an author, college instructor, businesswoman, speaker, and Web developer, Ms. McDuffie has learned how to demystify Web technology and programming and teach it successfully to students of all ranges from non-programmers and computer neophytes to experts and professional Web developers. WebWoman is dedicated to inspiring and showing others how to create interactive, content-rich, cross-browser compatible, and standards-compliant Web sites.
